Lake Orange, Inc.

Lake Orange, Inc.  is a private corporation in Orange County, NC that owns and leases the recreation rights on Lake Orange.  Lake Orange itself is a public water supply owned and operated by Orange County.  The land beneath Lake Orange was donated to the county by Lake Orange, Inc. in exchange for the aforementioned recreation rights.  Lake Orange, Inc. also retained ownership of the strip of land around the lake that falls between the 615' and 620' elevations, which is encumbered by an Orange County flood easement.  The normal pool elevation (waterline) of Lake Orange is at the 615' elevation, with flooding up to the 620' elevation rare, but possible.
